Is it a hard fast rule that the headlights are mounted on the radiator on the ES models or can they be mounted on the fenders like on the styled D, and did they have rear lights on the AR and BR? also did some ES models come without lights? Thankyou for any opinions or info offered.

On my Dad's 47 BR the lights for the front are mounted to the top tank of the radiator as is shown in the original operators book. The rear lamp was mounted to the top right fender where it looked awful. Dad said he moved it there for better operation and safety as it was originally mounted at the lowest rear edge of the fender. I guess when you backed up to close to something it took the hit. By what I have read, the electrical options were electric start only, or electric start with lights. I feel the lights really set the tractor off nicely even though I have been some time getting some of the parts together for a decent restoration. Hope this helps,Bob
