I have a '65 4020 Diesel. The exhaust manifold is cracked between the #3 and 4 cylinders. Its cracked almost all the way around both sides and the bottom. It is still on the tractor. Would it hurt anything to just leave it alone or should i fix it. If it should come off is it best to try to weld it or braze it.. Thanks, John.

why would you go through all the trouble of removing the manifold, welding it, then reinstalling it only to find that the bolt holes don't line up, or when you bolt the manifold to the head find that the manifold cracks again, since it's not aligned properly?

just call around to salvage yards i'm sure you'll find one quite reasonably priced, since they were not that common of problem on them tractors, also 4010-4020 and maybe 4230's all use the same manifold so there should be lot's out there
