I am looking at buying a 9 hole seat for my 41 John Deere H and need to know if the seat from a 41 B is the same. I allready have 2 other seats ( 3 & 7 hole) but want to have the correct seat (9 hole) for the year.

I was looking for a 3-hole seat for my '47 B. Right now it's got a 24-hole on it which is for the early unstyled A's and B's. E-mail me if you would want to sell it.
Thanks,
ryan

Donny, the parts book show them the same (AD-1606R), & doesn't show they were subbed but sometimes the books aren't 100% accurate on the seat usage as the replacement for both probably used the same seat for replacement. I don't think anyone will be able to say it isn't correct though, I did a lot of research on a 39 "H" I did & still can't positively say I have the correct seat. If you get an aftermarket seat from almost any one of the seat vendors it will be easy to tell it is a repop anyway as the rear rim doesn't roll around far enough on all the aftermarket seats I have seen.
