can you remove the fan assembly on a 720 without
pulling the radiator out?

Bill I took mine off my 70 gas and I will tell how(providing it is like the 70).Hood,exaust,generator,and grill off remove the bolts holding the fan shroud on and the support bolts underneath the power steering pump and where the shaft bolts to the governor, take the three bolts out of that."Now",Get some help and CAREFULLY move it forward and pull the fan blades toward you on the exaust side of your tractor. It will just barely come out and I had to flex a couple of my fan blades but it came out.If your not careful you can poke a hole in the radiator very easily with the end of the fanshaft.Good luck,Jack(TN).

Bill, I haven't been able to without getting into the radiator core pretty hard, so I either remove or loosen the rad & move it forward or pull the fan shaft, governor & all. It isn't worth taking the chance of damaging the radiator core as they are usually pretty brittle.
