Hi. The injection pump on our 2030 JD diesel tractor is shot- the cam ring in the timing window rotates all the way around and fuel's getting into the crankcase. Any ideas on how much it'll cost to fix, and any recommendations on a good cheap place to buy from or have it repaired at? I live in Central MN. Thanks, JP.

JP, since you are in Central Minnesota give Diesel Injection Spec., Inc. in Plymouth, MN a call and discuss your situation. They are located in the western suburbs of Minneapolis.

Phone: 763 559-9516

They rebuilt my 1020's Roosa-Master Injection Pump and benched checked the injectors for a reasonable price. The tractor now runs very well. Also, if you're in a mood to sell your tractor, I have several serious neighbors looking for a good 2030 utility tractor.

Well JP, here's a couple of options for you. Email me with any further questions. HTH.

Check around locally for reputable Diesel injection shops. There are good and bad ones all over. Talk to folks you trust and follow their recommendations. This is not an expensive or complicated pump to repair/replace. Costs vary by region, and I don't live in yours.
