Never heard of anyone else having a John Deere 1520. I have owned one now for 2 years and it is an excellent tractor. Never could find the serial number though. Not much info. out there on this particular tractor. I would also like to know the value of a good running JD1520. Any and all info. would help me very much. Best of luck.

The 1520 was great little 46 Hp 3 cylinder built in the late 60's I believe. Check out www.tractortips.com and follow the links to the John Deere tractors. No picture but decent info. My brother-in-law has used one on his farm for over 20 years. I recently purchased a 1530 which is the early 70's successor to the 1520. You might also look at www.tractorsbynet.com for more tractor info.
