What engine was used in the late 7020 tractors? My dad and I were looking at one last summer and it appeared to have a 4630 engine in it, as opposed to the 4320 engines which were in the first one. I can't tell you what year it was, but I remember looking up the serial number and it was around 73 or 74. Also, which one was used in 7520's? Thanks.

dave, The 7020 had a 404 engine, You are correct the early ones had a distributor type pump (20 series) and the later had a inline type pump (30 Series). The 7520 had the same power unit as the 6030, It was a 531A meaning it had turbo and intercooler. This was not the same engine as a 531D like used in the 5010 and 5020. The D series was a all together different engine than the A. A 619A will pretty much bolt right in place where a 531A was.
