2020 lift arms won't raise!

My dad uses his 2020 to put out round bales of hay. Today when he cranked it the three point hitch wouldn't raise. Over the last couple of years it had been to where when you cranked the tractor in cold weather, it took several minutes before the lift arms would raise (no weight on them). Today they never did raise. And he let it run about 30 minutes. Yes, the fluid and all else is ok. Is this going to be a pump problem? And why does it seem to only act up in cold weather? Has anyone out there had this problem? I'm sure some of you John Deere mechanics can diagnose this. I need your help! The cows are starving.

dose your tractor have power steering if so dose it work fine.if the steering is working it is not a pump problem. check the oil in the tran. dose it look milkey
if so the water in the oil may have froze in the lift control valve not leting it pase oil.
if you are up north and it is cold it will tack a wile to thow out by just runing the tractor.
hope this is some help

i'm not sure why the cold weather effects it buti know if the spring under the lift which connect from the cover to the contriol valve leakage becomes weak the hitch will not always lift
