That guy I got out of bed last nite,,,I had to buy him breckfast,,,O.K. Lunch. I didnt get up every Early his A.M. We got talking on just how tuff that old iron is. He is suprized any of it is still running. When there was one tractor farms that suff was taken care of. When the farms became two and 3 tractor farms the oldest one hauled the manure and spent winter nites in a warm damp dairy barn and when went out in 20 below and maybe the engine oil got changed once in a while and the other fluids never got changed and become water with some oil in it. He said that before he retired the 2 bangers had enought hours and wear that they quit making a lot of ajustments by the book and used the ear and eyeball, and they still went out the door working.

Mike, kind of like old cars, those old Deere's just keep on ticking. One thing to remember, Deere over engineered everything they built & were ahead of their time on some things & refused to modernize on others. I had an old "G" that was as tough as a hickory nut, as reliable as a paper clip & as thirsty as a 747 jet.
