Sorry I came on with a snit on the sediment bowl problem. If carb is full and float valve is closed it don't need gas, so if sediment bowl gasket is tight gas can only fill very slowly, untill tractor is started then it will fill and displace the air in the system. My apology to you , Gene

my compliments on the apology. Having posted to the site many time, I have reflect on thought that many folks are just starting on these old tractors. I grew up driving them and working on them but still can be baffled by some problems. Sometimes I think deeper or more complicated than a problem is. Have found that most hobbist are sensitive about their hobby, why our club will never, never get into a show and judge the best tractor. " They're all the best". Have noticed a deep commitment to some posters, like Clooney and John T and have real admiration for their skills.
