I have a '54 model 60 and the left rim has corroded due to a calcium chloride leak from the tire. I was wanting to know if you guys knew where I could find another one. Also, would a rim from another year of model 60 fit?
Thanks,
Justin

My dad bought a JD 60 new in 55. You didn't say what model of JD 60 it is. Ours was a dolled up AR with wide fenders, a higher arched front axle, 30" rubber on the back - 16.9x30- and the engine ran a little faster than the AR. The dealer said it would replace the D we had. That was a laugh! Good thing Dad kept the 42D. The 60 was a good enough tractor but it wouldn't pull with the old D. Anyway- If you have the western model they are a standard double drop rim.

Justin:
Almost ANY place that sells tractor tires most likely would be able to supply a 38" double bevel rim in whatever width you require. My local Goodyear Tractor tire dealer sold me a new, 38" 14" wide double bevel rim for my 730---they had them in stock. I would bet that any reasonable agricultural tire seller has them.

Justin Any 38" double bevel rim will fit your "60". just measure the width to get the size you want. All 60/70/620/630/720/730,IHC300/350/400/450/460/560 and later models with 38" tires would all be possible donors. Mike
