I saw a message on this board a couple days back about a parts manual cdrom part #db1293 availible from deere. I asked my dealer what tractors/equipment were covered on this disc. They didnt seem to know , but would sell me one for 75$. Could someone post a list? Also does it contain the repair and/or parts/picture manuals or both, and is there more than one type of these such as one for tractors and one for equipment? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Kevin

There are several CD's available that cover different selections of tractors and equipment. The one mentioned - DB1293 - covers the vast majority of the two-cylinder tractors.

These CD's can be ordered either through the 800 number - 1-800-522-7448 - or by contacting Heritage Equipment in Clare, MI. Their web site is www.rungreen.com. You can go here and click on "CD Roms" to see a complete list of the CDs available and what the contents are.

Makes a great Christmas gift, too!

Kevin----

In May someone (Clyde Scott?, Clooney?) posted the list below. My dealer also quoted $75 for the disk but suggested that buying direct from JDs publisher might be cheaper. Ive never checked that out. Toll free number is1-800-522-7448. Using the disk version requires a fair amount of panning and zooming, but it offers a lot of information in one package. You cant beat if for cross referencing parts from one model to another.

Sorry. I forgot the rest!
These are all Parts Catalogues (note the PC prefix). If youre unfamiliar with them, they have excellent blow up pictures that serve as a good guide as to how to disassemble and reassemble various components on your tractor. To my knowledge there is only one CD. As yet no service manuals. This would be an excellent idea, though. Are ya listening JD?

Putt Putt thanks for the info, yes I am familiar with the parts manuals, sometimes they are more helpful in repair work than the repair manuals are. Thanks again, kevin l

I don't want to sound dumb but do you mean that all those models are covered on one cd for $75?

Newgen:
Yes.. These are ALL covered.. It's really worth the money. I have a rather large HDD so I put the entire CD on the hard drive and that makes it very fast.
