One thing I have found out while working on my car and my tractor and driving my car. The colder the air to the cylinders, the more the horsepower. For some reason, cars and maybe even tractors run better on cool air intakes. Just a thought.

JD,

I've been asking myself the same question. I thought it was my imagination for awhile, but experience has shown me that my '41 starts better on cold days. The only thing I can think of is that in the cooler weather, the gasoline is closer to its flash point...in warmer weather the vapors may make the plugs tend to foul. It isn't a very good theory, but it is the best I can come up with. (It looks like other people are stumped too, or they are not experiencing the same problem.)
