I have a 64 3020 with a 35 jd loader the loader moves up fine but wont go down very good. going down the hyd pump loads the engine harder and takes a long time to lower it works much faster if i move the bucket up and down at the same time. the bucket works good up and down. my loader is plumbed in to the line by the brakes peddles and returned in to the filter cover and has a hyd control for the loader does any one have a clue?? all the hyd fluid was changed and filter replaced. when you stop going down loader comes up about 6 in. after you release control lever. is it the control valve, a bad hose?? thanks for any help.

I have seen a faulty hose act like a check valve. What happens is there's a loose piece of hose on the inside, when the oil is going in one direction the piece is fine, but when the oil travels in the other direction the loose piece of material falls down like a flap and resticts the flow of oil. The bad hose will more that likely be the one for raising the loader from the valve to where it splits for the cylinders. Hope this helps or gives somewhere to look. Good Luck.

Do you have a closed center valve on it? The 3020 has a closed center system whereas a lot of the older tractors the #35 was used on were open center.
I have a JD 430 with a #35 loader. ON the valve there is a line that returns to the rear end in addition to the regular ones. It comes out the side of the valve. They tell me this was to make the loader come down faster, kind of a rapid bleedovv system

Could be restriction of return couplers at filter hsg, replace male & female ends, or plumb return hose directly to filter cover.(where female coupler screwed in)
