One rear wheel on my 51 B has worked inward on the axle about an inch. Can I loosen the clamp, then back in a tight circle to get the wheel to 'walk' outward, or will I need to jack it up & muscle it out? Thx

Lloyd's idea is great. If that doesen't work try a come-a-long through those holes and the other end around a solid object that won't move. If the wheel still comes loose with real good tightening of the clamp bolts, then I would suggest finding another wheel hub. Jason

This answer kind of depends on which style of wheel you have. Cast centers versus the pressed steel centers I think might have a different way of reacting to driving with loose clamp, but I typically have had the pressed steel wheels go toward the side without the clamp on. If you loosen your clamp, it won't hurt to see which way it goes while driving in a straight line. Maybe put a spot of paint on the axle to see for sure. Be careful not to let it run too far though. I had some trouble keeping one wheel in place and had to take the grease and WD40 from the axle so it would stay. Some suggest using wax paper to keep hub from seizing up over a long time. Good Luck.

When I slide the wheels on my A, I run a chain thru two opposing holes in the cast wheel, put a hydralic jack on the end of the axle and under the chain, and jack them out. After l loosen the clamp of course.
