A friend is looking to buy a combine to use on a smaller farm wondering why the 7700 combines are selling cheaper than the 6600 and the 4400 thanks BILL

I think you indirectly answered your own question in your post. In my area (Central Nebraska) farms are evolving toward two sizes-the "mega" farmer with thousands of acres and the "weekend" farmer that's doing a quarter section or so. By many, the 7700 is perceived as too small (or too old) for the "mega" farmer and too large for the "weekend" farmer. Therefore, the market for these combines is getting smaller. I think this trend is also emerging for some of the newer machines, specifically the 9600 series JD.
