I bought one for 300.00. Needed a head and block and pistons. It was burned and had peace signs painted on the hood. Tires held air and had an 800 hitch on it. That was back in June or July----- ----- ---of 1970. Bought a new GTO that year. I think it cost 4200 and its long gone. My G is going strong and will outlast me I,m sure. Money comes and goes. Ilooked at one last year in central Mich. It was just a good rear end and frame. Not worth more than 500 but it was all there. A young boy had some money and to make sure he got it he bid all he had to get it. This was a lady taking bids over a weekend on about a dozen parts and repairable tractors of diff. brands. He got his G and said he could save more to fix it. His bid was five times what I paid thirty years before 1500.00. He was just as happy as I was and at 15 about 5 years younger than I was. JIM

I know of one that is all apart in pieces and lots of parts are missing and the man won't budge off of 1200.00 dollars.

I was at a farm sale a couple months ago and saw a G auctioned. This tractor had had a loader on it for many years. It did run, took quite a while to get started. This was one of the sorriest looking tractors I have ever seen. All of the sheet metal was mangled, even the air stack was bent over. There wasn't anything on it that I could see that didn't need work. The tractor went for $2700. So I wish you luck, you are going to need a lot of it to find a G for $500.
