Local shop wants $650.00 to recore my 4240
radiator.It has a small leak which they say
can't be fixed.Isn't that to much?

Try local farm equipment dealer or independant repair shop. Order RE21898 New Radiator for 4240 JD from A&I Products should cost you under $600.00 including freight.

well i had a problem like that and i had a small leak so i put gum over the small leak and it worked and im still driving it, its been 16 years

Shoup in Kankakee, IL has complete radiator, including tanks, for $557.95. Local John Deere dealer's price should be very similar.

Look at this site. I have never used any of theirs, but have used other after market brand radiators with no trouble. I think A&I has them for less money than these are.

can buy a new one from A&I for $385.00 plus
shipping.
