I am still looking for a green tractor. There is one advertised on this site under the classifieds for Michigan. It is a '53 JD50 w/ factory 3 pt. and a 6' blade for $3550 OBO. The ad says it is in excellent shape. What do you all think? I know you don't like these price questions, but I want some affirmation that this is a good deal. It is a lot of dough to dish out!

I agree with Jon, shop around some more and compare prices, mechanical conditions, etc. That price sounds a little high to me unless it's been thoroughly gone through and is in truly excellent condition.

I'd look around at what's for sale close to where you live and then compare to this tractor or any other you have to travel any distance to see. If this tractor is in excellent shape, the price doesn't sound out of line to me but then I usually shop in the bargan basement.

Good luck, Jon
