1957 John Deere 520, in good shape and running condition. I have a gentleman wanting to buy it, he has called several times. Belonged to my father, not even sure if I want to sell. Any help would be wonderful. Thank You Lori

like everyone is saying if its a good complete tractor that runs don't take less than 3500, but if it is a real nice tractor ask more, but dispite what anyone says you're not going to sell one for more than 5 thousand, unless the thing is in emaculate shape, with very few hours. At that only a collector will want to pay that much for a 520. 620's and 720's seem to bring more around the Ohio Vally.

No less than $3500 as you describe. 520's are popular here in TN.

I dont know where you are located, and it does make a difference I think. I drove three hundred miles to buy a 520 at auction this summer and gave $3500 for it. That was 20 miles west of Watertown, South Dakota. There is nothing special about mine and actually it is kind of rough, but it is a running tractor. Don't let anyone hurry you into a deal until you are satisfied. Hope this helps you out with your problem. Dale

Hi Lori, This is a very desirable tractor to the John Deere enthusiest. If this gentleman is putting pressure on you to sell maybe he's trying to "steal" it from you at less than it's value. Please post a description including narrow or wide front end and serial number. Is it rusty? Are the tires good? I'm not familiar enough to put a price on it, but I do know they go for several thousand dollars in real nice shape. Do your homework.
