Any way other than the AA4724 Valve to kill the Rock shaft on a 70 with remote hydraulics? Using it on a log splitter and every once and a while the three point will come up and blow the hoses. Russ

Russ, not unless you want to not use the remote break-away assembly & go to the A 3613R hose adapters that go directly into the power-trol box. By what you say it sounds like you either have a malfunctioning AA4724 (unlikely) or the "O" rings in the power-trol adapter holes are hard, chipped & leaking internally (likely). Does your log splitter have an open center hydraulic control valve? If not & you have the tractor power-trol lever held in the up position & the log splitter cylinder isn't kept in motion the pressure will rise to the max pressure of the blow off valve & might be high enough to blow the hoses. Does you hydraulic pump whine, the hoses vibrate & the pump sound loaded when the splitter valve is in the neutral position? If so you probably have a closed center hydraulic valve on it.

I don't have a malfunctioning AA4724 valve, because I don't have one. Call JD and they say not available anymore. No salvage yards nearby. I don't know what kind of valve the splitter has but it does not cause the tractor to whine, overheat the hydraulic oil, in fact you do not even have to wire the power trol handle forward, you just put it forward and go to splitting. It works pretty good most of time. The splitter is pretty large being able to split a 6 foot log and make post, but I just use it for wood.Russ

Russ, there must be an AA 4724R valve someone has for sale out there somewhere. Maybe someone has seen one for sale somewhere, you might try Shorty Dear in Texas. About the only other option is to use (2) A 3613R hose adapters on the splitter hoses & hook them directly into the power-trol holes. If the handle is staying put without tying it there your pressures shouldn't be high enough to blow the hoses off, sounds like the hoses aren't attached with the correct fittings.

Thanks, I will keep looking,I cannot use option 2 because the lower power trol fitting is covered up by my aftermarket 3 point, oh well. Russ
