HI,Can someone tell me when this tractor was made and it's approximate value in complete and probably will run condition?It has hydraulics and 3 point hitch,2 cyl. engine upright not lay down cylinders.3 speed trans.

Model 40-U,Serial #60644.

I sold a 40-U at the 2001 Expo auction - it brought $2200. there were 2 or 3 40-Us which sold ahead of it, so I think the 'demand' was low by the end of the sale.

Mine was complete (no top link on the 3 pt), no lights, no weights, new tires, dingy nose, ran well, old pain

40's had a 4 speed tranny and usually bring in
that 3500 to 4000 range. They sold a nice restored
one at Expo for $3500.00
