Fuel gauge for gas 630? Fuel efficiency?

Was a fuel gauge made for this tractor? How many hours is it supposed to run on full tank? How do people check fuel levels?

Back in the 60's and early 70's, we ran silage choppers with a 620 and a 630. 7 hours of cutting and you had better be mighty close to the gas barrel!

DOES IT HAVE A HOLE IN THE DASH? I HAVE NEVER SEEN A 630 WITH OUT A GUAGE.

NEBRASKA TESTS ON A 620 (SAME ENGINE AS THE 630, SO THEY DID NOT TEST THE 630)

MAXIMUM LOAD 4.2 GALS PER HOUR
RATED LOAD 3.3 GAL PER HOUR
NO LOAD 1.3 GAL PER HOUR
VARYING LOAD(OVER 2 HOURS)2.4 GALS PER HOUR
ALL ABOVE AT 1125 R.P.M.

IT HAS A 22 1/2 GAL TANK AND FULL TO EMPTY IN 6 1/2 HOURS. THAT ALL I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO GET FROM MINE WITH A OVERHAULED AND PROPERLY AJUSTED CRAB .

PULL THE HOOD AND SEE IF THE SENDER IS IN THE TANK OR IF IT IS PLUGED WITH A PLATE.

IF YOU PUT ON A GAGE MAKE SURE YOU GET A MATCHED GAGE AND SENDER AND THAT IT HAS THE SAME GROUND AS THE BATTERIES.

IF THE TRACTOR IS STOCK (NEV GROUND) GET ONE FROM A J.D. DEALER AS ALL MOST FROM UNIVERALS FROM AUTO SUPPLYS ARE POS GROUND AND WILL NOT WORK
