I guess John Deers are ok to look at, but they aint no farming machine. You need a real tractor for work.I found this out after buying a new Deer, and selling it and trying and old Deer(junk).

Why is it there is always someone who gets his jollies by making ignorant statements about something he knows nothing about? Maybe he should return to grade school where he can learn manners!

Poor Virgil. You must be bored & a little "slow" if you think you can "stir the pot pot" with such a simple "cheap shot".

Us Deere drivers are secure enough not to go over to the other tractor boards and throw derogatory comments around. If ya want to feel better about your situation, sell that non green tractor and buy your own John Deere .

Last time I loked at annual reports, Deere had outsold Agco, CIH/CNH, etc, etc plus all the short lines they bought out combined. I wonder why?

Deere dabbles in a lot of Non-Agricultural markets too, Construction Equip., lawn mowers, insurance, etc. as well as their Finance Division. REAL tough to tell Who sold What by just looking at the annual report. Actually, Their last annual report didn't sound all that optimistic about 2001 to tell the truth. Lots of Hype and no substance. I wish their stock price would jump up so My Wife could sell her stock.

You should at least learn how to spell Deere. Plus they never merged with or were bought out by another company. What happened to Oliver, Moline, Farmall Massey-Ferguson and others. Deere must have done something right.
