Took your advice....widend the point gap a bit:
still firin' on one. Left her runnin ....went to the house,
cussed John Deere and my affliction for the green
machines: came back out and she was firing weakly
on the rear! Almost like Ive got one- and -a -half
cylinders workin for me. way I figger it, I'm at 75% !
Apreciate all the help.
What next to get her to hum ?

I am about to haul her to Missouri from Colorado.
Almost like coals to Newcastle but I like the tractor.

Thanks also for others who responded.

Hank, now that it will fire on that cylinder you probably should replace the spark plug. They almost never fire right once they have fouled unless the plug is blast cleaned or cooked with a torch.

Clooney, that is good advice. I like the blast cleaning, although the torch works as well. I took the torch (natural gas/oxygen) to the plugs from my D. First time it worked well, second time I think I warped the threads. After about one turn it seemed to bind. I pitched them and bought new plugs. Also gas setting in the tank evaporates and polimerizes. I started my 820 last week after plowing 5 acres with it last spring. Could not believe the smoke and lack of power of the pony after overhauling it last winter. Refilled the tank with fresh gas, the smoke disappeared and no shortage of power! Thanks for the continual flow of good advice.
