I need a sprocket for a JD #15 Chain Saw. I have checked with our two local dealers, and they say that parts are no longer available. Does anyone know where I could find this part? Thanks for your help!

Just a quick question, I didn't know JD made chain saws until I saw one advertised in a Home Depot catalog this past weekend. My question is, in your opinion, are JD chain saws any better than other brands. If you were to buy a new 16'-20" saw, would you buy JD or another brand such as Stihl or Echo.

Look for a dealer that has an Oregon Chain catalog, and he probably will have a listing for it. LGD

Many of the chainsaws sold by JD back in the 1970s were made my Remington. I don't think they are in business anymore. If it happens to be a popular style sprocket used on other brands and models then you might be able to get a replacement from somplace that specializes in chansaws and/or small engines.
