How would I free up the valves on my tractor. I can turn the engine over 80% but when the push rods go to open the valves it freezes up eveything. Also can you tell if the bearings on the crankshaft are any good with out unhooking the piston rods. if the valves were free it would turn by hand reaaly easy.

Suggest you pull the head do a valve job and inspect the bearings.
