Anybody have a AB1545R three-way fuel valve (the retro-fit kit to allow the 3 way valve to be controlled from the tractor seat) installed on an un-styled A or a picture of the bracket that the control rod runs through? I have the kit but it is missing the original control rod bracket & I need a picture to make an original looking bracket to finish the installation. Thanks....Clooney

The ones I have seen on the tractor have no bracket. They ran the rod through the opening at the left bottom corner of the hood. Between the hood, fuel tank and rear hood bracket.

Ron, I have seen them run there also but don't know if that is correct as I have also seen some sort of twisted bracket that bolted to the L/H rear lower hood bolt that the rod ran through. If I can't verify an existing bracket I will probably run it through the space you mentioned. I kind of posted this to see what kind of responses I received, maybe someone older & wiser than me has actually installed the kit in the 40's.....Have all the ones you have seen been run through the same place?

The only twisted that bracket that comes to mind(remember that the mind is not what it use to be)is the one used with the mounted corn picker attachment that allowed you to open and close the petcocks from the seat. As best as I can remember all of the fuel valves were routed through lower left hand corner of the hood.

Ron, thanks for your input. I have only seen a few converted & the one that looked the most authentic had the twisted bracket, after reading your description of the petcock rod bracket I'll bet that is what was used. I have seen others with the rod running through the L/H tank/strap lower corner & after your answer that is how I will do the installation.
