Have just recently gotten interested in my Grandad's old 50. The family no longer farms and I managed to keep the 50 and two 4020s from being sold on the farm auction. I would like to make the 50 a little more usable and useful. I am going to build a front dozer blade and was wondering if the tractor would handle a pto driven hydrolic pump to run the cylinder for the front blade and handle an implement like a rear blade on the 3 point. I plan on using the tractors system for the rocker shafts and it is my understanding that if you use the rocker shafts the hydrolics ports for cylinders are not usable. Is this to much for the old 50?

Andy, I dont believe that load (guessing though dont know its actual HP load) is over the torque and HP limits of the 50 PTO, just consider how big a load a bush hog or feed grinder may be. You are right though, if you use the rock shafts, then the remote hydraulics does not operate because the fluid is diverted to the cylinder that raises and lowers the shafts. Good Luck Ol John T
