Hooking up live hydraulic pump

I just bought a live hydraulic pump off of Ebay to run a 45 loader on my 1944 A. It was advertised to fit an AR, but the part numbers matched the live pump in my A's parts book. What is different about it is it has a small lever on the side that disengages the gears to turn the pump off and it only has one hydraulic fitting on the top. Near the lever is a plug. The question is: How is this pump supposed to be hooked up? I thought there should be two fittings for a pressure and return hose. The plug may be for an internal reservior, but that pump won't hold nearly enough fluid to run a small type of hydraulic cylinder let alone the large ones on a 45 loader. I am also wondering what sort of setup I should use, ie, external reservior, valve, etc. Any help and wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

Tom I put one on my "G" and they can be a pain in the rear. The connection by the little lever goes to the bottom of rockshaft housing drain plug which has to be drilled out to accomidate the fitting, also you will need to put a check valve in this line. The top plug install a line and run it around to left side of powertrol drain, that gets your lines in the proper place. Now remove the pto shaft driven pump idler, you could run in to trouble parrelling both pumps, you might first try it with both pumps working I haven't thought about it though. Next thing remove the powertrol, lay it down where the inside is facing up,down near the bott there is a rectangular port you will have to block off,and the way this is done is take a piece of 16 ga. metal, then use your gasket to make a metal spacer and don't cut out the littl rectangular port, then put a gasket on each side of metalspacer and reinstall powertrol. I'm at work now if farther assistance is needed email me thanks Gman

Did you get the pump that mounts on the governor of the AR, or mounts on the magneto drive of the A? Or the one that goes on the powertrol drive? I have one of the magneto drive ones, and had it on an A with a loader. It worked, but was slow and would not lift much. Most of those old pumps were designed for an implement cylinder, adn didn't pump enough volume to run a loader. Let me know how it goes.
