What's the deal? These things aren't that complex and it has to be something simple. I need someone to walk through this with me. My 1954 60 is missing on the right side tonight. Last time it was the other side. I have replaced both spark plugs, points, wires, and the cap looks good. I did not replace the condensor. I didnt know it wasnt in the kit until I got home. It has good spark with the plugs out. Compression seems ok but dont have access to a guage. It has a DXTL 94 on it which I know is not orginal. I cleaned it and need some information on setting the needles. If you have any ideas let me know, I'm just about to run out of ideas. Thanks Al

My 60 acts up some times. I have replaced everything, during restoration, that I can think of. I called Doug Burrey at Burrey Carb service and he said the carb is running lean on one side. I am going to send it to him after the pulling season is over to rebuild. I have set the timing exactly and everything but it still spits back through the carb.

Joel, It has to be one of three things, fuel, fire or compression. Are 60's know for giving trouble like ours? I haven't had time to work with it much this week but I kind of enjoy the problem solving. Do you know what my DXTL 94 came off of? or where I can find the settting for the needle valves? Thanks AL

Shouldn't have a problem at all. The machines are very simple. Doug could tell you what that carb came off of too. He is real good to talk to.
