My 1948 Model M stalls after running for a while.

After warming up (temp to 200 degrees, not overheating), the engine begins to sputter and dies. Pulling the choke out has no effect and moving the throttle does nothing.

After waiting a while the engine can be restarted.

I have adjusted the carb as outlined in the service manual.

Just offhand, I'd say you have an ignition problem, specifically, the coil. Check to see if the polarity is right, as a coil hooked up wrong can produce the symptoms you describe, as can a coil in which the insulation has broken down . In many cases, in either of these conditions, the tractor will run OK until the engine temperature and the coil warms up, and then will produce the symptom you describe.
