I have a 1943 B that I just put on a prony brake. It is almost stock. I milled the head and block flat. Not much was taken off. It has the DLTX 34 kerosene carb. .045 over cast iron John Deere pistons in it. The hot manifold for kerosene. It pumped 20.8 HP out the pto. Is this close to what it should have on gas. I know on kerosene it was tested in the Nebraska tests at like 17. Just wondering what other people have gotten out of there B's

Thanks, Will P

Will, I just finished a 52 B and she tested out at 36 Hp. Nothing fancy but it does have .090 over sized pistons. I was suprised to see that much. You have the 175 cu in but the new B's have the 190 cu in.

Hey AL,

I have a A tractor it used to have MW piston but looking for other one, I not sure what kind piston to put in aluminum or MW or JD piston...
I looking at some aluminum piston .90 for JD.
I still thinking..
