How does the oil get to the gears/bearings in the Gov? The IT talks of a tube but there is none in this one. It looks as if it is carried up on the gears and splashed/runs around. Is this it? Or do I have a lost tube? (Clooney- I did get the unit out, a hammer rap on the screws did it). Bob

In the late styled "A's," tthe oil tubes should be built in the castings. But for it to get to the castings on the nain part of the frane, an oil line is attached somewhere up under behind the cam coming from the oil pump.

Bob, there is a fitting on the bottom of the governor case that sticks into the crankcase & an oil line runs to it from the oil filter head. The oil is pumped out onto the fan gears & is then thrown around to the bearings..... . Now that you have the shaft out you will find it much easier to work on.
