We rescued a series 4010 john deere this weekend and we were looking for some information on it. The serial number we found is 22T22142. Does anybody know of a website that we can go to that lists information about this particular serial number. We'd like to know where it was manufactured, purchased, previous owner, what number tractor it was on the line???? Any information would be appreciated.....

The 4010's were built in Deere's Waterloo Iowa Tractor Works factory. They succeeded the two cylinder 730's, and went into production in 1960

This site for starters has the year of manufacture
Just look under "Research & Info" which is located just to your left, on the page as you read this and click serial numbers, John Deere, and then 4010. If you had done this (it took me less than 15 seconds) you would know your tractor is a 1962. If you also click Tractorlinks.com, which you will find to the left under the heading of "Related Sites", perhaps you could also locate www,fourty-twenty.com where you would find out that the serial number code of 22 from your serial number makes your 4010 a STANDARD as well.

Tractortips.com can narrow it down to the year of manufacture, but unfortunately, no history.
