Our 3020 has a hydraulic leak in the power steering assy. under the dash. It's leaking between the two mating faces of the large castings. Can any one tell me what type of seal is used? An O'Ring or gasket? This is a really tight area to work, especially in 90+ weather! Thanks in advance.

A person who has done several of these can seperate the housings and replace the square packings inbetween and not bother the valve adjustment, but if you've never done one, beter leave it for DEERE. Sometimes the valves need to be adjusted anyway.

That's something I wouldn't mess with.Jd has
special tools and a valve plate to adjust the
valves in this unit.Took one apart several
years ago had to take it to JD to get it adjusted
right.
