I just bought a 2520 gas SR. I think I will be thrilled. I noticed 2 hydraulic hoses coming out from under the platform on the right side. One male end, the other female. If you raise the 3 point etc. you can see these hoses jerk slightly. Maybe it had a loader or something. My question is do you think these 2 hoses should be plugged into each other to complete oil flow or should I just take platform off and try to check where lines are plumbed in? Also, what spark plugs do you suggest? Thanks

I would suggest pulling the platform off and checking to wee where the hoses come from. If you hook the 2 ends together your 3 point may not raise as all as the oil mmay by pass it in the loop. Worse yet it could be that you would creat an open loop and oil would flow thorough it all the time. since the JD uses a closed center hydraulic system, it only pumps on demand, the pump would runn all the time and cause premature failure. Can't imagine why someone would plumb it that way. The usual way to plumb a loader is to hook the pressure line into the pressure line from the front pump to the rear of the tractor and replace the filter cover with one with an inlet and run the return to it.
