hello all i ahve a 2510 gas that seems to be getting weak in the clutch area. when you go to let the clutch out it wont disengage until about 1/4" from the end. i was woumdering if i was in need of a clutch repair or could i adjust it? also it is getting pretty bad on oil consumption...when mowing i have to add a quart a day then i can go week with out it ever useing a drop...would i be better off to just sell my beloved toy or spend teh money to make her well again? seems shes weakening by the day...i really hate to see my old farm hand go but i guess theres a day when we just have to let go....but if you could help give me some insight as to waht i can do to cure her or what? thank you!

p.s also what is the oil pressure supposed to be on her? it runs around 27lbs normally but since the oil consumption maybe that would change it? again thanks

Keep It! You could buy something else that could have problems. you know what you got. Gas engines are relativly easy to rebuild. clutchs do go out after time. bite the bullet and fix the 2510. sounds like you really love her. once done youl know what you have and should last many, many years.

I believe it is better to fix a machine you know than take on one that may have serious problems you don't know about. Sounds like you need a ring and head job you should do a compression test first. A clutch is not to bad and just might need adjusting. I have an I and T shop manual for the 2510 email me if you would like to purchase it. regards
