Hey guys my uncle just bought a JD 327 baler with a kicker and it baler parts works great but the kicker isnt soo good...most of the time it works like it should but some times what will happen is the trigger will go down because a bale is on it but it will not be kicked to the wagon...then you get out or the tractor and pull the bale off and turn it on and go and the next bale it will work ok...and other times it will kick and the 'thing that kicks the bale up' will not go down completly to lock down and the next bale will then puch it up...we have looked in the manual but it said nothin about this stuff so I thought I would try you guys...well thanks for the info

the first reply is on target there is a pair of springs on the latch that keeps the pan in home postion there is adjustment of three inches i think its been a while sometimes the springs break or get out of adjustment causing this problem.

There is a metal catch on the top that is supposed to keep the pan from bouncing back up.

Carefully trip it by hand and watch if the pan isn't coming all the way down or if it's bouncing back up without the catch getting ahold. The catch takes a beating and could be bent or worn, the strap on top should be straight not curved up. You could try fixing it but it's not very expensive to replace.

Make sure you know what's going to move before you hand trip it because it has a lot of punch.
