On my last visit to Moline, my wife and myself inquired about John's burial site at the Pavilion. No one there could offer any information. On a hunch, I told my wife if he's here in Moline, it has to be in the towns oldest cemetery. Well we found it, along with Charle's family. We left and brought back some flowers, as the stones were bare. Has anyone else ever visited the Deere family burial site?

Of the millions of words that have been exchanged concerning the products of the Deere family, yours are the first that I have read that indicate both respect and appreciation for the man that made all of them possible. His respect for excellence and the resulting achievments remind us of the values that were widely known in his day, and sadly, more difficult to find in our own times.
