WE ARE LOOKING FOR 2 TRACTORS THAT WERE IN OUR FAMILY 1 A BO JD AND A 430 JD OUR FAMILY CURRENTLY OWNS THE REST OF MY GRANDADDYS JD COLLECTION WE DO HAVE SERIAL # FOR BOTH TRACTORS AND SALES RECEIPTS WERE THEY WERE TRADED IN. THE DEALERSHIP IS OUT OF BUSINESS. BUT WE ARE TRYING THROUGH OUR LOCAL JD DEALER TO SEARCH THE SERIAL #
IF THERE IS ANY ADVICE OR AVENUES THAT WE CAN LOOK IN PLEASE POST OR E-MAIL US THANKS FOR ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS.

I have just the opposite situation with my model B. I know little of it's history but plan to try to research it and see if there might be a family member that would really like gandpa's tractor. I am completely going thru it and will be selling it when finished and want to give family a chance to get it back. Guess I should start at the Collector Center to get shipping information.

Don't mind at all. The B I am working on is a 1948 late styled B, with roll-o-matic and powertrol. Serial number is #229783.

Kim: I know exactly where you're coming from.
Grandpa's '47 "B" was sold at auction in 1957
(I was too little to realize the inportance then)
and I have been searching for it for the past 10
and 15 years. I have the original sale bill from
the out-of-business dealership and I have the
serial number of the tractor along with some
pictures of it. If you are fortunate enough to
find some effective search method, please let me
