Carb overflows when tractor is not running. Just had it rebuilt at a carb shop. The tractor runs great, but when you shut it off the carb drips gas. Is it possible that the engine is creating a vaccum and sucking the gas? It has a new fuel pump. The guy that rebuilt the carb says that isn't the problem. Any ideas?

MY 1010 does the same thing. If you fix it please let me know so I don't have to shut the fuel off all the time. Thanks

it might be a stuck float but that wouldnt make much sense if it was just rebuilt but like john2510 said you might need to turn the fuel off

I had that once with my 3010 right after is was serviced. Dealer came out took the bowl off the carburetor, cleaned it, and put it back together. Have not had trouble since. Said there was some dirt probably got under the needle.

There should be a needle and seat in the carb that the float pushes on when the fuel bowl is full. Did the guy that rebuilt the card replace this? Most carb rebuild kits come with a new needle and seat. But even if it didn't, if the old one worked before, it really still should work now too. Otherwise there could be a piece of dirt between the needle and seat that is causing it to not fully shut. Also, the float may not be properly set. This should hve been checked and set when the carb was rebuilt. You should be able to check both these things fairly easily with the carb off the tractor.

Where exactly is the fuel leaking from? My 3010 gas doesn't do this and never has. There has to be a reason for this that can be fixed. Obviously they weren't designed that way.
