I recently obtained a 41 B and it has cast wheels on it. My question is that there is a number 4 in the wheel and wondering what that meant! Don't have a manual, so please advise if anyone knows about the number and also what do the cast wheels weigh?
thanks Dan

I'm assuming the 4 is cast in the wheel and not stamped. Usually a number by itself in a casting is a reference for the maker of the part. It can be a certain pattern or mold number or even a shift code used to identify when the part was poured. Working for a manufacturer that outsources aluminum castings, our dies in different shops mark their parts differently so we can trace flaws back to the die they came from. A date code is also incorporated in case there is a material problem. Having said all that, the 4 on your wheels has had no meaning since your tractor was shipped from the factory.
