I have a '46 B where I added an after market 3 point on so that I could use it for bush hogging, drive grading, post hole digging... I have opened up the power troll twice, poked around, replaced a few things, and managed to get it going again, and I'm not positive, but suspect the leathers on the trolls piston as being the weak link. Any remidies/modifications that can bring this other -wise faithful tractor, up to snuff??

Not sure exactly what the problem is. If it is a fast leak-down problem, the leather cup at the end of the piston may indeed be the problem.

You can find more info on the Powr-Trol unit here. Hopefully something here will help you out.

I don't know exactly what your problem is but if the power-trol has been set up for remote, I don't believe the rockshaft will work. There is a procedure that you can adjust for either, but not both. Even when working right it is not the the most powerful lift, but should handle a blade, but not a 6 foot bush hog. Russ

Thanks. I know that the remotes have to plugged good and tight to prevent leak down on the Power Troll, and the problem comes on suddenly. The PTO shaft is not perfectly straight so I can't keep a good seal there, and will lose a quart or two of fluid a month when in use several hours. The problem might be connected to my forgetting to keep the fluid up. Adding oil after getting low and having the unit lose power, brings the power to lift back, but the leak down problem seems to start then. Cliff
