Re: 1950 Model B - Serial # 270162Question: What is the correct path in the fan area for the two wires that connect to the voltage regulator on this tractor? Currently, the wires come out of the top of the hood, drop down along air cleaner elbow, lay on the fan shaft bearning housing and run over to the regulator. They are about 1 1/2 inches from the exhaust pipe. Although somewhat close to the exhaust pipe, the wires do not get hot to the point where the covering gets soft or melts. I just returned from Expo XI in Berrien Springs, MI and looked at every "B" on display. I can honestly say there didn't seem to be a specific way to run the wires. Some were like I've described above and a couple had the wires running on the other side of the fan housing and under the housing to the regulator. One had a clip on on the fan support bracket with the wires coming around the housing and under to the clip and on to the regulator. Many had an abundance of wire and the wires were "all over the place." The "correct police" would not have been happy with these. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
