I was going to rebuild my carburator on my 1951 B and was wondering if anyone has a recommendation on a good manual. I already have a rebuild kit.

Dont know of any manuals on just carbs. Try Roberts Carburator repair.(www.robertscarbrepair.com) I think he has some videos that are supposed to be good. Many people say they are simple and nothing to it, but there seems to be some tricks to doing it right. Good Luck, Bob

The JD carbs are fairly simple to rebuild, however most people don't pay enough attention to detail...the carb needs a thorough cleaning, preferably bead or sand blast after total disassembly...alll brass plugs should be removed...heat these and the area around them red with a torch...let cool a bit and remove with a good fitting screwdriver...nozzel must be removed...tap the nozzel for threads in the bottom...make a puller from a small bolt or screw...clean all passages completely and reassemble...load needle 3/4 turn open and idle needle 1 and 1/2 open is a good place to begin with running adjustments
