hey guys a couple a weeks ago i got some heat from you guys about saying a 3020 was junk.... well the 3020's have started growing on me and now im starting to think they are one of the best tractors jd has ever made. the gas model runs great has the hp it should of had a few months ago and hey all it was, was a 10 cent screw that went to the carb.!we use the tractor regularly in the field to pull a vermeer 605g round baler and have even pulled a 504s.i no load for it. tractor has 10 times more power then the 2510 now. the tractor walks a 4btm plow through the field like it was nothing. i guess i should have looked at the carb. a little closer whjen i reuilt it shouldnt i? well anyway i wanted to say sorry about what i said on the 3020's thanks for showing me the light guys! John, yours has a powershift doesn't it? I just figured that was why you were suffering from a lack of power. I know 3020's arn't power houses, especially be todays standards, but I still love 3020 diesels with the sacro-range transmissions. our family has a 64 model with around 14,000 hours on it, and it's still going, although it looks alittle ragged out. I hope to have a nice late model someday with rops and canopy and side console hydrolics. Anyhow, I hope the old girl keeps treating you good. Later, Greg H.
