My generator was not charging so I had it checked out and fixed.I put it back on the tractor and it did start to charge, but when I turn it off it shows a large discharge. The wires back to the generator back where they were at the start.I don't want start my tractor again like this. The ground is on the pos post, where it was when I got the crawler.

RN, the purpose of a Cut Out Relay or the Cut Out Relay portion of a full fledged Voltage Regulator, is to disconnect the Generator from the battery so it doesnt reverse discharge through the Generaotr when you shut the tractor off. If those contacts burn shut, it can cause the condition you describe. There can be otehr causes, but take a look at your cut out relay and VR first and post back. Any loads like shorted wires somewhere could also cause a battery drain that you are observing. Ol John T in Indiana
