Has any one heard of a JD mower model 100? If so what are they worth? I have a guy willing to sell me one for 125.00 with deck. Will a blade or snow blower fit it?
Thanks

The model 100 made around 69-70 had a cheap briggs and stratton aluminum block 8 horse engine. If the engine is not worn out I would be suprised. Otherwise well worth the asking price. I cannot speak for a snow blade, but with a welder anything is possible.

I agree with Russ. I recently traded off a 100 mower. The motor was just plain shot. I still have the manuals etc. if your interested. I don't believe the front axel and frame was heavy enough for a blade or blower.

I bought a new motor with elect. start for less than 400.00 but required extensive machining on the pulley and bushing because the old one had a step shaft, and 3/8 thread. The new one has 7/16 fine thread and straight shaft. Otherwise they bolt right in. Russ
