Al, I have restored a 1976 300 L&G from ground up. (4 years worth). I would first clarify that the engine is an 18hp as these tractors had a 16hp kohler in them. The engines are workhorses but have a tendency to viberate nuts and bolts loose. They also work the rivets loose on the motor mounts causing mount failure. The steering is the same as old Cub Cadets and if not adjusted it will wear the worm gear in the center. The hydraulics will last forever if the filter is changed yearly. I sold my tractor for $2800 us and it was in mint condition with complete engine re-build, new tires, dash, gages, steering wheel, seat, paint, decals, etc. The mower deck was also rebuilt completely. If this tractor is in good cosmetic and running condition with a snowblower, $1800 cnd ($1200 us)is a fair price. Hope this helps.
